Congratulations!!! UIN Jakarta Librarian, Passed Competency Certification
UIN Jakarta Library, News Online – Two UIN Jakarta Librarians, Mudianah Mahmud, S.IP., and Nuryaman, S.Ptk., successfully ‘Passed the National Librarian Competency Certification’. This was announced based on Certificate (SK) No. 178/CI/LSP.107/PUSTAKAWAN/X.2024 signed by the Chairman of the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) Librarians of the National Library of Indonesia on October 17, 2024.
The announcement was the result of the LSP Librarian plenary meeting which decided 49 librarians from various institutions throughout Indonesia as participants who were declared competent. Dra. Endang Ernawati, M.Lib., as the Chaiperson of the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) Librarians of the National Library of Indonesia, stated "Based on the results of the LSP Librarian plenary meeting, 49 participants (names of participants attached) were declared Competent. Certificates of competence will be issued and given to those concerned in accordancewith the provisions “ (quoting from the decree).
The Librarian Competency Test process organized by the National Library of Indonesia on October 1-2, 2024, was attended by librarians from various regions in Indonesia. The involvement of two UIN Jakarta librarians is a matter of pride for UIN Jakarta, which shows their dedication and professionalism in managing information and library services, and plays an important role in the development of literacy and academic research.
Head of UIN Jakarta Library, Agus Rifai, Ph.D., also appreciated this achievement. "Congratulations and success to Mudianah and Nuryaman for successfully achieving Librarian Competency Certification. This achievement is not only proud of the individuals concerned, but also a pride for UIN Jakarta Library, “ he said, when receiving the decree in his office Friday (18/10).
Agus Rifai also hopes, “This achievement can be an inspiration for other Librarians to continue to improve their competence, and encourage the progress of the library as a center of information that is relevant, innovative, and responsive to the needs of the UIN Jakarta academic community.”
Based on the decree, Mudianah Mahmud was declared 'Competent in Implementing Library Collection Development', while Nuryaman was declared 'Competent in Developing Information Literacy Skills'.
This success is not only an individual recognition for Mudianah and Nuryaman, but also increases UIN Jakarta's reputation in supporting human resource development in the library field. Hopefully, this achievement can motivate other librarians to continue to improve the competence and quality of information services in UIN Jakarta campus. *RMr
