According to him, there are still many students and researchers who experience difficulties in managing references, both in compiling bibliographies and scientific sources in their academic writing.

Septian also emphasized that Zotero is not just a reference management tool, but also an instrument in improving research effectiveness. “Many students and researchers still have difficulties in managing reference sources. With Zotero, this process can be more systematic, accurate, and efficient,” he explained.

This literacy class covered Zotero comprehensively, from installation, to organizing references, to integration with Microsoft Word and Google Docs for citation automation. Septian also highlighted Zotero's web scraping feature that allows users to save references directly from various online sources.
