UIN Jakarta, UIN NEWS Online - A proud achievement, State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta managed to occupy a superior position as the best State Islamic Religious University (PTKIN) according to the latest evaluation from EduRank since Thursday, (29/02/2024). In the report, UIN Jakarta ranks 30th in Indonesia, 653rd in Asia, and 2181th in the world.

Among the seven best PTKIN according to EduRank 2024 which has been published through the EduRank.org page, UIN Jakarta leads the top rank, followed by UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, UIN Sulthan Syarif Kasim Riau, UIN North Sumatra, and UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.

EduRank reveals a list of the top 100 universities in Indonesia based on research results, non-academic excellence, and alumni influence. The rankings are determined through evaluation of 1.71 million citations received from 996 thousand academic publications produced by 562 Indonesian universities, as well as considering the popularity of 700 prominent alumni and available reference sources.

The admission of new students in each enrollment is competitive. According to EduRank, the 15% acceptance rate is based on the ratio of acceptances to applications and other indirect enrollment data. However, it should be underlined that the figure is a rough guide and not an exact measure of the chances of being admitted. Each study program has a different acceptance rate.

UIN Jakarta has published 9,502 scientific papers with 8,643 accepted citations.
