Scimago Rankings 2024: UIN Jakarta Records Proud Achievements
Rectorate Building, UIN News Online-UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta recorded a proud national academic institutional achievement following the ranking conducted by Scimago Institution Rankings in a number of scientific areas. This achievement can be a consideration for prospective students in choosing universities and study programs to study in college.
The latest Scimago Institution Rankings (https://www.scimagoir.com/) as quoted by UIN News Online, Thursday (18/4/2024), ranks Indonesian universities for a number of scientific fields. Among them are Agricultural and Biological Sciences; Arts and Humanities; Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology; Earth and Planetary Sciences; Economics, Econometrics and Finance; Business, Management and Accounting; Psychology; Social Sciences; and others.
In the Arts and Humanities cluster, which includes the fields of philosophy, history, literature and religious studies, UIN Jakarta ranks third nationally after University of Indonesia and Airlangga University. Following behind UIN Jakarta are Gadjah Mada University, UIN Bandung, and Yogyakarta State University.

For the Economics, Econometrics and Finance area, Scimago Institution Rankings places UIN Jakarta in the first rank of the group of other public Islamic religious universities. The best overall national rankings are occupied by national public universities such as University of Indonesia, Airlangga University, and Gadjah Mada University.
In the Business, Management and Accounting cluster, UIN Jakarta is also the first ranked Islamic religious university. Nationally, UIN Jakarta ranks higher than Syiah Kuala University, Haluoleo University, and UIN Bandung. While the best national ranking is occupied by the University of Indonesia, Binus University, and Brawijaya University.
Similar achievements were recorded for the Earth and Planetary Sciences cluster. UIN Jakarta ranks first in state Islamic religious universities and precedes the ranking of several public universities such as Andalas University, Sriwijaya University, Jakarta State University, Islamic University of Indonesia, and others.
In the Physics and Astronomy cluster, UIN Jakarta also recorded a proud achievement. Sitting in 11th place nationally, UIN Jakarta ranks higher than several national universities as well as ranked first in the State Religious Universities level.
In the area of psychology, UIN Jakarta ranks in the top 4 nationally out of the total public universities in the country. In order, the top three positions are occupied by the University of Indonesia, Airlangga University, and Yogyakarta State University.
Behind UIN Jakarta are UPI Bandung, Padjajaran University, Gadjah Mada University, Semarang State University. Then, Diponegoro University, Malang State University, and Brawijaya University. With this position, UIN Jakarta has the highest ranking in the area of psychology in the group of public Islamic religious universities in the country.

For the Social Sciences cluster with scientific fields such as communication, sociology, anthropology, education, law and political science, UIN Jakarta again recorded the first rank in the group of state Islamic religious universities by occupying the 16th national position. In this cluster, the best universities in the nation are occupied by Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Universitas Airlangga, respectively.
It is known that UIN Jakarta itself has 82 study programs in 12 faculties and graduate schools. These 82 study programs represent various scientific fields such as Islamic studies, economics, science technology, psychology, politics, health, and medicine.
Of the total 82 study programs, 56 of them are undergraduate (S1) level. Prospective students who are interested in the fields of science offered can apply for admission through various new student admission selection channels offered such as SNBP, SNBT, SPAN PTKIN, UM-PTKIN, and SPMB Mandiri.
