Rectorate of UIN Jakarta, News Online - August 30, 2024 - In a series of Introduction to Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) 2024 activities, UIN Jakarta presents an inspirational figure who has achieved success in the creative world and entertainment industry, Raditya Dika. This writer, director and comedian shared his experiences and tips to new students about the importance of finding passion in lectures.
In an inspirational session that took place on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at UIN Jakarta Field, Radit invited new students to find and focus on what they are good at during the lecture period later. “College, find what you are good at, from there it can be a field of work,” said Radit with enthusiasm.
According to him, comfort in doing something is the main key to achieving success, both in the academic and professional worlds. “We will definitely get what we want because we are comfortable doing it,” he added.
Radit also emphasized the importance of thinking creatively and being open to opportunities. He recounted his experience of starting a career from a blog he wrote while still in college, which eventually became a job that brought him great opportunities. “What was once just a hobby of writing is now my main job that I enjoy every day. The key is to be consistent and keep learning,” said Radit, when telling the story of how he started writing from a blog.
This session not only provided motivation, but also opened new insights for the new students. Radit gave an example of how he made his writing hobby a solid career foundation. “Not everyone knows what they are good at right away, but when you find it, hug it tightly and develop it. College is the perfect time for that,” he continued.
By presenting a figure like Raditya Dika, UIN Jakarta creates a positive atmosphere that motivates new students to be more active in pursuing their dreams. This session is expected to instill enthusiasm for new students in undergoing lectures and achieving success in the future.
