PBAK 2024 UIN Jakarta : 28 International Students from 6 Countries, Knitting Diversity and Global Competitiveness
Harun Nasution Main Auditorium, News Online - August 28, 2024 - Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta again became the center of attention in the 2024 Introduction to Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) activities, with the presence of 28 international students from six different countries, including Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Gambia. These students are united in the spirit of knitting global diversity, making UIN Jakarta more steadily stepping towards the vision of a Globally Reputable University.
Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UIN Jakarta, emphasized that the presence of these international students is part of the institution's efforts to strengthen diversity and expand academic reach to the global arena. “Diversity is strength. With students from various countries, we not only enrich the academic dynamics but also strengthen UIN Jakarta's position as an inclusive and globally competitive university,” said Zaenal.
PBAK 2024 is not only an introductory event for new students, but also marks a step forward in realizing the Go International mission. “We hope that this cross-cultural interaction will give birth to collaborations and innovations that are beneficial to all parties,” added Zaenal.
The presence of 28 international students is in line with UIN Jakarta's vision to become a Global Reputable University with Excellence in Integration of Islamic, Indonesian, and Science Sciences. This is clear evidence that UIN Jakarta continues to improve the quality of education and expand its international network, thus producing graduates who have competitiveness in the global world.
