Opening of UIN Jakarta Library Festival 2024: “We continue to innovate and improve the accessibility of library material collections”
UIN Jakarta Library News Online - Jakarta, May 27, 2024 - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library Festival officially opened today, marking the beginning of the Library Festival activities that are also part of the 67th UIN Jakarta Milad series. The festival, held at UIN Jakarta Library, will last for four days, featuring various activities such as discussions, workshops, and book exhibitions.
In his speech, Agus Rifai, Head of UIN Jakarta Library, said that the library continues to innovate to meet the needs of its users. “UIN Jakarta Library continues to innovate in presenting various collections of relevant and quality library materials. We also focus on increasing accessibility, so that the entire academic community and the general public can easily access the various information they need,” he said.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D who represented the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. In his speech, Prof. Ali (his nickname) expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the library team in organizing this festival and hoped that this event can continue in the coming years.
Prof. Ali added that the library is not just a place to store books, but also a center for active intellectual activities. “We are committed to making the Library a center of intellectual activity, where everyone can learn, discuss and innovate. With this festival, we hope to build a strong literacy culture and create a dynamic community of learners,” he continued.
This series of UIN Jakarta Library Festival features prominent authors who will share their experiences and knowledge. Visitors can also participate in various workshops, book discussions, and seminars held during the festival.
