UIN Jakarta Library received a visit from the University of Malaya, Malaysia

UIN Jakarta Library News Online - Today, Tuesday, June 11, 2024 (11/06), UIN Jakarta Library received a delegation visit from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. This visit is part of the international cooperation program of the two institutions to improve the quality of education and library services.

The delegation from the University of Malaya, consisting of lecturers and students, was welcomed by the librarians and library managers of UIN Jakarta. This visit hopes to strengthen the relationship between UIN Jakarta and the University of Malaya.

"This visit is an important step in strengthening academic relations and expanding international cooperation networks. We hope to exchange knowledge and experience in library and information resource management." Said Heru Widodo, who is a Librarian, who on this occasion represented the Head of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Library Jakarta.

The Head of Delegation from the University of Malaya, Siti Zaubaidah Binti Ismail, who is an associate professor from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Universiti Malaya Malaysia, expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library and expressed her admiration for the progress that has been achieved by UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library. "We are very impressed with the facilities and services here (ed. UIN Jakarta Library). There are many things that we can learn and apply in our library at the University of Malaya." Said Siti Zubaidah Binti Ismail in her speech.

During the visit, the delegation from the University of Malaya was taken around to see the various facilities and services available at UIN Jakarta Library. They also discussed with library staff about innovations in collection management, the use of information technology and information literacy programs run at UIN Jakarta Library.

With this visit, it is hoped that the two institutions can enrich and strengthen each other's library capacity, in order to support the improvement of the quality of education and research in each university. (RMr)
