UIN Jakarta Library, News Online - August 17, 2024 - State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Student Center (SC) Hall on Thursday, August 17, 2024. The ceremony was led by the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, Ph.D., and attended by all levels of University and Faculty Leaders, lecturers and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus.

In his mandate, the Rector of UIN Jakarta emphasized the importance of strengthening the Integrity and Professionalism of ASN as part of the commitment to build the nation. “As ASN, we must uphold integrity and professionalism in every task and responsibility. Integrity is a non-negotiable foundation, while professionalism is the key to providing the best service to the community,” said the Rector.

In this context, the Rector reminded that ASN must always maintain morality, ethics, and commitment to national values. “Integrity is not only about honesty, but also about how we respect and uphold the values of Pancasila in every aspect of our lives as state servants,” she added.

The Rector also emphasized the importance of ASN's role in maintaining national unity, while upholding the principles of fair public service and integrity. According to him, in the current era of globalization and digitalization, ASN is required to be more adaptive and innovative in serving the community, without ignoring the noble values that have been inherited by the founding fathers.

At the end of his speech, he emphasized that ASN must be at the forefront as an inclusive and moderate public servant. “We hope that ASN at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta must be present as a professional public servant, able to answer the challenges of the times, and still adhere to Islamic and national values. We must prioritize an inclusive and moderate approach in carrying out our duties, so that we can be an example for the wider community,” hoped the Rector.

The 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony which took place solemnly was also a moment of reflection for all academicians of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to strengthen their commitment in filling independence with real work and quality services. (Rizki Mulyarahman)
