UIN Jakarta Library, News Online, September 04, 2024 - “The library is now in your hands (students). There is no more excuse for not doing academic assignments, let alone not graduating from college” said Mudianah Mahmud (UIN Jakarta Librarian) in her presentation today (Wednesday, September 04, 2024) in the 7th floor meeting room of UIN Jakarta Library building, at the Introduction of Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) 2024 New Students of Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Jakarta.

“Touch & Go Mobile Library” is a digital library application that allows students to access a collection of books, journals, and other academic resources directly from their hands. With this app, students can search, borrow, and read the various literature they need anytime and anywhere.

“There are two ways to access this 'Touch & Go Mobile Library',” said Mudianah in her explanation. “Firstly, through the Google Play Store, where users can download the app directly to Android devices. Secondly, through Windows, which allows access through desktop or browser apps, providing flexibility for users to enjoy this service on computer devices.”

With the convenience offered, this application can be a solution to the various challenges that students often face in finding academic references. However, the success of using this application still depends on students' awareness and ability to utilize this technology to the optimal.

This activity was attended by all new students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin for the 2024/2025 academic year, which was divided into nine sessions every day, until September 13, 2024. Various materials, ranging from the introduction to the use of libraries, online catalogs (OPAC), access to e-resources, to references management tools. In addition to the presentation of material that will be delivered by UIN Jakarta Librarians, new students are immediately practiced on how to use it.

With the presence of the digital library “Touch & Go Mobile Library”, UIN Jakarta further strengthens its position as a university that is adaptive to technological developments, and continues to provide the best facilities to support the academic success of its students. In addition, UIN Jakarta's PBAK 2024 this year will continue until November 23, 2024, with various other interesting activities that aim to equip new students with the knowledge and skills needed during their studies.
