UIN Jakarta Library, news online - Wednesday, August 07, 2024, the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library again held an educational program for Librarians and Library Managers at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, which was held in the 7th floor meeting room of the UIN Jakarta library building.

"Librarian Learning", is one of the innovative activities of UIN Jakarta Library, where UIN Jakarta Library's commitment in improving skills and abilities, both librarians, and library managers of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to explore and maximize the use of academic digital resources." Said Heru Widodo (UIN Jakarta Library Technical Services Coordinator) when opening this activity.

The 'Librarian Learning' program series 2 this time, presents resource person Dr. Lolytasari, M.Si to review 'UIN Jakarta remotlog access and how to access subscribed e-resources'. It aims to improve the ability of Librarians and Library Managers in utilizing technology and digital resources.

Lolytasari explained in detail about how to access and maximize the use of 'Remotlog UIN Jakarta' to access the library's digital collection, anytime and anywhere. "This Remotlog access, makes it very easy for users to get academic digital resources collected by UIN Jakarta Library, ranging from local resources, subscribed e-resouces, to open access e-resources." explained Mrs. Loly (her nickname). Lolytasari explained, "First, there is Lokal Resources UIN Jakarta, which consists of OneSearch UIN Jakarta, Institutional Repository UIN Jakarta and Online Catalog UIN Jakarta Library. OneSearch UIN Jakarta is an integrated search system within the scope of UIN Jakarta Library, and is designed to facilitate users in searching and accessing various information resources available." "Next, the UIN Jakarta Institutional Repository is a digital platform developed by the UIN Jakarta Library to collect, store, and distribute scientific works produced by the UIN Jakarta academic community, where this UIN Jakarta repository, to facilitate open access to research and academic works, and to ensure that the intellectual contributions of the university can be accessed by the wider community." "Third, from the Local Resources, there is UIN Jakarta Online Catalog. This is an online library catalog system used by UIN Jakarta Library to manage and provide access to information about library collection materials." he added. "Next, the second feature of this Remotlog UIN Jakarta, is e-resources subscribed by UIN Jakarta Library.  There are 25 types of digital e-resources from various scientific disciplines," she explained. Lolytasari emphasized the importance of utilizing e-resources that have been subscribed by the library. "With easy and flexible access, these e-resources can be a very useful source of information for the academic community of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in conducting research and academic activities," she said.

"Finally, the feature that can be utilized from Remotlog UIN Jakarta, is open access e-resources. A total of 13 open access e-resources that can be accessed anytime and anywhere," he said.

Lolytasari highlighted the benefits of using e-resources for students, lecturers and researchers. "These e-resources not only facilitate access to information, but also support wider academic and research development," she said. She also provided practical tips in optimizing the use of e-resources for various academic needs.
