Rectorate of UIN Jakarta, News Online - August 27, 2024 - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomes 10,181 new students who officially join the Big Family of the Academic Community of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in the academic year 2024/2025. With a sense of joy and pride and full of high enthusiasm, the new students participated in the Introduction of Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) 2024 at UIN Jakarta Field, Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

With the theme “First 100 Days at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta: Sustainable Campus, Sustainable Achievement”, PBAK 2024 is designed to prepare new students to face academic challenges and dynamic campus life so that the importance of innovation, collaboration, and sustainability in achieving sustainable achievements. This is in line with the university's vision to continue to be a center of excellence that produces quality, global-minded, and noble graduates.

In his opening remarks of PBAK 2024, the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., welcomed all new students. “Today you are officially a student of UIN Jakarta. Here, you will learn science that is integrated with Islam, something that is unique compared to other public universities,” said the Rector.

Prof. Asep emphasized the importance of this PBAK 2024 activity as the first step in getting to know campus life and the rich academic culture of UIN Jakarta. He hopes that new students can follow the entire series of activities well and take advantage of this opportunity to interact with fellow students, as well as understand every value and culture instilled at UIN Jakarta.

“Take advantage of this time to interact with fellow students, and understand every activity in PBAK. This is the first step to get to know what distinguishes UIN Jakarta from other universities,” said Rector motivating the new students.

PBAK 2024 is not only an orientation event for the introduction of academic culture, but also an important moment to establish friendships, get to know campus life more closely, and build a sense of togetherness among new students. Hopefully, their presence will be a new energy for UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in producing young generations who excel and contribute to the nation and state. (Rizki Mulyarahman)
