UIN Jakarta Library Building, News Online – For the academic community of the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta, there is no need to worry about missing library operating hours, especially on weekends and holidays. This is because the UIN Jakarta Library has introduced the UIN Jakarta Digital Library service, which can be accessed 24/7, every day, anytime and anywhere.

This innovation is part of the campus' digital transformation in response to the growing need for flexible academic literacy that is not bound by space or time. The Head of the UIN Jakarta Library, Agus Rifai, Ph.D., emphasized that this transformation of services is a form of the campus adapting to the needs of the digital age. “We want to ensure that all members of the UIN Jakarta academic community who require scientific references can access them anytime, without any time or location restrictions. This is the form of technology-based inclusive education services,” explained Agus Rifai in his statement on Friday (June 13).

Nowadays, libraries are no longer just physical spaces. So, what can be accessed from the UIN Jakarta Digital Library?

The Coordinator of Collection Development Services at the UIN Jakarta Library, Mudianah Mahmud, S.IP., explained that there are three types of collections that can be accessed, including National and International Journals – both open access and subscribed; E-book Collections; and finally, Academic Works (Repository UIN Jakarta).

So, how do you access the UIN Jakarta Digital Library?
“There are ways to access the UIN Jakarta Digital Library, the first is through Google Appstore, and windows,” explained Mudianah.

Mudianah explained further, “After downloading the application from Google Appstore or accessing it through windows, log in using the email address ...@apps.uinjkt.ac.id (for lecturers and teaching staff), and for students, use the email address ...@apps.mhs.uinjkt.ac.id.”

With this platform, you can access it on weekends and holidays, so there is no need to wait for the physical library's operating hours. With just a smartphone or laptop, all scientific reading resources are available at your fingertips.
