UIN Jakarta Library, News Online - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library has a special guest! Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hakki Alma, Rector Iğdır University, Turki, paid an official visit to UIN Jakarta Library on Thursday (February 13, 2025). This visit is a moment to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions.

During the visit, Prof. Mehmet Hakkı Alma was warmly welcomed by the Head of UIN Jakarta Library, Agus Rifai, Ph.D. Upon entering the room, Prof. Alma seemed impressed with the neatly arranged literature collection and the scientific atmosphere presented. While observing the neatly arranged collection of literature, Prof. Mehmet Hakkı Alma expressed his appreciation for UIN Jakarta in presenting a space for the study of Islamic thought from various parts of the world. “Said Nursi is an important figure in the world of modern Islamic thought. I really appreciate how his intellectual legacy is preserved and studied at UIN Jakarta,” he said in Turkish translated by Hasbih Sein -Founder of Nur Semesta Foundation, Said Nursi Corner.

Agus Rifai welcomed and expressed his hope that UIN Jakarta Library can become an intellectual bridge for Indonesian and Turkish academics. “We are open to cooperation in the development of Islamic literacy and science. The presence of Prof. Mehmet Hakki Alma is a step to continue expanding scientific horizons,” he said.

One of the highlights of the visit was the Said Nursi Corner, a special room dedicated to the thoughts and works of the great Turkish scholar, Badiuzzaman Said Nursi. *RMr
