Main Auditorium, Jakarta, April 23, 2024 - Prof. H. Muhammad Nasir, Ak., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed his optimism that UIN Jakarta will become a center of global reputation. This was conveyed when giving a lecture in the Halalbihalal event of the Leaders and Academic Community of UIN Jakarta in Harun Nasution Auditorium, Tuesday (23/4/2024).

Halalbihalal event with the theme "Knitting Ukhuwah, Achieving Progress: Together Realizing UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta with Global Reputation" was attended by leaders and academicians of UIN Jakarta. In his lecture, Prof. Nasir, who is also the Commissioner of Bank Syariah Indonesia and former Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education for the 2014-2019 period, emphasized the importance of real action in achieving a global reputation.

"Don't be no action talk only in achieving a global reputation," said Prof. Nasir firmly, reminding the audience not to just talk without real action.

In addition, Prof. Nasir gave an in-depth look at how to improve university quality and productivity. He likened the aspiration to achieve a global reputation to the components in worship, which consist of shariat, tarekat, and hakikat. According to him, these three components must be applied in UIN Jakarta's efforts towards global reputation.

"The key to success is if all elements in the study program focus on global competition, God willing," explained Prof. Nasir. He emphasized that focusing on global competition is an important step to achieve this goal.

Prof. Nasir also encouraged the entire academic community to not only pursue the number one position, but to be the best in everything. "We should not pursue number one, but be the best. With a new spirit, let us actualize our common goals," he said.

This inspirational lecture from Prof. Nasir is expected to motivate all leaders and academicians of UIN Jakarta to work hard and collaborate in realizing the vision of a globally reputable university. This Halalbihalal event took place with a warm atmosphere and full of togetherness, strengthening ukhuwah among the academic community of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta who attended.
