Pride! UIN Jakarta Librarians Take Part in Breaking MURI Record

UIN Jakarta Library, Online News - Another proud achievement was made by the Librarian of State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This time, Young Librarian, Lina Fairda, S.Pd., successfully took part in a spectacular event in breaking the MURI Record 'Writing Mini Fiction Stories by the Most Participants', which was held on Monday (15/09/2025) at the National Library of Indonesia, yesterday.

isian berita 16 September 2025 (1)This grand literacy activity successfully recorded a new history in the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI), involving thousands of participants from various professional backgrounds, including librarians, academics, students, and literacy activists. The presence of Lina Farida as a representative of UIN Jakarta's young librarians is a special highlight, as well as clear evidence that librarians are now not only struggling with bookshelves, but also appear as literacy innovators.

"Being part of this event is something I will never forget. My fourth anthology book with other friends was launched," said Lina Farida, proudly.

"Hopefully this momentum will further inspire the younger generation to write and foster a culture of iteration," added Lina Farida after receiving the MURI participation certificate.

Head of UIN Jakarta Library, Agus Rifai, Ph.D., expressed his appreciation. "Lina's participation is a real proof of UIN Jakarta librarians ' dedication in advancing literacy. We are proud that our young librarians have made history in this national event," said Agus Rifai, when he received this proud news, Tuesday (16/09/2025).

This MURI record-breaking event not only recorded the largest number of participants, but also became an important momentum in mobilising the culture of writing in Indonesia. With creative and simple themes, mini fiction stories can be a medium of expression that can be followed by anyone, from various backgrounds.
