Message from Vice Rector for Student Affairs, PBAK 2024 Moment: 'New Students of UIN Jakarta Must Be Ready to Face Global Challenges'

Building for Student Affairs UIN Jakarta, August 29, 2024 - Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta welcomed thousands of students at the 2024 Introduction to Academic Culture and Student Affairs (PBAK) event which took place starting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the UIN Jakarta campus. This PBAK 2024 activity is an important moment for new students to get to know the academic environment while preparing themselves to face various increasingly complex global challenges.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of student readiness in facing the globalization era. “UIN Jakarta students are not only required to excel on campus, but also to be able to compete globally. This is our common challenge to ensure that the quality of education at UIN Jakarta is able to produce graduates who are ready to answer the challenges of a changing world,” said Prof. Ali when met at the student center.

Furthermore, Prof. Ali emphasized that globalization today brings rapid changes in various aspects of life, from technology, economy, to culture. Therefore, students must have adaptive, innovative, and globally competitive skills. “We must prepare ourselves with broad insights, critical thinking skills, and solid integrity values. This is the key for us to survive and excel in the era of globalization,” he added.

In closing, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs of UIN Jakarta reminded that global challenges are a reality that must be faced together. “Let us make this college period as the best time to prepare ourselves to become individuals who are resilient, noble, and ready to become future leaders who are able to bring positive changes at the local and global levels,” he concluded with optimism.
