UIN Jakarta Library Building, News Online — The Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN Jakarta) Library has once again become a space for learning and collaboration. Dozens of participants from the Islamic Southeast Asia Traveling Classroom (ISEATRAC) participated in a Library Tour on Monday (July 20th) to gain a closer look at the literacy ecosystem, information services, and digital transformation developed by the UIN Jakarta Library.

This activity, part of the ISEATRAC Campus Tour series organized by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) at UIN Jakarta, attracted participants from various Southeast Asian countries. The visit gave participants a firsthand look at how university libraries are transforming into spaces for learning, research, innovation, and academic collaboration in the digital age.

Upon arrival at the UIN Jakarta Library, the group was warmly welcomed by the Librarian Team consisting of Septian Nurhakim, Mudianah Mahmud, along with the Librarians and Library Managers. In this friendly and interactive atmosphere, participants were introduced to various superior services, ranging from print and digital collection, institutional repositores, collaborative learning spaces, to various information literacy programs that support the activities of the UIN Jakarta academic community.

Participants were not only introduced to the physical facilities, but also gained insight into the transformation of services implemented by the UIN Jakarta Library through the use of digital technology. UIN Jakarta Librarian Septian Nurhakim stated that the Library Tour was part of the Library's commitment to introducing literacy culture to ISEATRAC participants.

"This Library Tour isn't just about taking participants on a tour of the UIN Jakarta Library facilities. We want to introduce the literacy ecosystem that serves as a space for collaboration and innovation, fostering an academic culture at UIN Jakarta. Today's library is a place where science, technology, and collaboration meet. Therefore, we are honored to share our experiences with Islamic Southeast Asia Traveling Classroom participants from various countries in Southeast Asia," said Septian Nurhakim.

Libraries play a strategic role, Septian said, in shaping a generation of learners who are adaptive to developments in science and technology. Therefore, Septian continued, strengthening digital-based services, increasing access to scientific information sources, and developing literacy programs are the primary focuses of the UIN Jakarta Library in supporting the university's vision as a world-class research university.

Ultimately, for the UIN Jakarta Library, each Library Tour is not simply about introducing collections or services, but rather about opening a space for dialogue and collaboration that brings together diverse perspectives and experiences. From quiet reading spaces to a constantly evolving digital ecosystem , the library is expected to become a hub of collaboration that connects the academic community with scientific networks, both nationally and internationally.
