UIN Jakarta Library - In an effort to preserve the wealth of culture and knowledge, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta through GLAM (Gallery, Library, Archive & Museum) UIN JAKARTA invites all UIN Jakarta academic community and the public to participate and contribute in the 'GLAM UIN JAKARTA Document Archive Donation Movement', which aims to preserve cultural heritage, history and science. This program is an important step in ensuring that future generations can continue to access and be inspired by the intellectual treasures of the past.

Head of UIN Jakarta Library, who is also the Head of GLAM UIN JAKARTA Development Team, Agus Rifai, Ph.D., stated that GLAM UIN JAKARTA plays an important role in maintaining the connection between the community and valuable historical heritage. “GLAM UIN JAKARTA is not only a repository for collections, but also a bridge that connects us to the past, rescues almost forgotten knowledge, and inspires the future,” said Agus Rifai.

What objects are part of GLAM UIN JAKARTA:

1. [Letters] are written documents that reflect communication between individuals or groups, often providing insight into social and historical context.
2. [Photos] capture important moments and can provide a strong visual picture of daily life, events, or people in the community.
3. [Diaries] containing personal records that reflect a person's thoughts, feelings and experiences, often provide an in-depth perspective on a particular event.
4. Unpublished [Memoirs and Manuscripts] offer stories or life experiences that have not yet been made public, providing authenticity and a unique perspective.
5. Various forms of [Two-Dimensional Artwork], such as paintings or illustrations, express creativity and visual culture, and can reflect the social values of a particular time.
6. [Original Sound Recordings] preserve sound documentation that can include interviews, speeches, or music, important for understanding historical and cultural context.
7. [Movies and Videos] capture movement and sound, providing a more dynamic picture of events or daily life.
8. [Architectural drawings] depict the design and structure of buildings, which reflect not only the aesthetics but also the function and social context of a period.
9. [Objects or Artifacts] can include various types of objects, such as tools, jewelry, clothing, and household items. They provide insight into the daily life, technology, and traditions of people in the past.
