UIN Jakarta Library News Online - Jakarta, May 27, 2024 - “We (UIN Jakarta) are committed to making this Library a center of intellectual activity, where everyone can learn, discuss, and innovate so as to build a strong literacy culture and create a dynamic community of learners” said Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D on the occasion of delivering opening remarks for the 2024 Library Festival (27/5).

Prof. Ali (his nickname) continued, “Students should begin to realize, amid the invasion of information on various social media in a very vulgar form, or in the form of scientific studies (talk shows, podcasts), increasingly realizing that one of the main sources in the academic world is the Library. Therefore, it is important for the Library to create innovative programs, with the intention of reviving the library world as a center of intellectual activity." He emphasized that the library does not only function as a place to store books, but as a dynamic and inclusive learning space.

Prof. Ali invited to take an active role in developing the library as a center of intellectual activity. “Let us together create a strong culture of reading and learning, for a brighter future for future generations”, concluded Prof. Ali. (RMr)
